Exciting news
We got some exciting news over the Halloween weekend and I could not wait to share it with you. Ella’s blended family has been selected as one of the Top 75 Blended Family Blog 2020 on the Planet on Feedspot. We are number 21st.
Halloween plans
On top of that it was Halloween weekend, a full moon and I was excited to go Trick or Treating. I love walking and chasing leaves, oh boy leaves, and October has been my favorite month, so many leaves. I was so hopping that me and the boys would go door to door to get candies while I chased more leaves. It would have been a win-win for everyone. Unfortunately, Halloween celebration will be a little different this year because of COVID-19. My family and I decided to stay home and have a family movie night so everyone could stay safe and healthy.
Supporting local business
My parents love to support local businesses in our area, and with the pandemic its even more important for our economy. The boys got the chance to go buy treats at a local candy store for Saturday night. We watched “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald”. It was a great night. I love having everyone in the same room cuddling because I get to sleep for a while on each of them.
We also own two small local ice cream shops named Bennic. Instead of giving treats at our home door this year, we decided to give children a free ice cream cone all day Saturday at both ice cream shop locations. My mom worked a few hours at both locations because she loves to see the kids smiles. She said she saw monsters, knights, astronauts and even dragons. I cannot wait for next year to be able to trick or treat. I hope my mom buys me a new costume. Next year I think I want to be a unicorn.
What was your plans this Halloween? Did you wear a costume? Let me know, I would love to hear about you. Follow us as we share more activities on this Ongoing Journey as a blended Family.
